Okei, ég gefst upp!!

Vegna fjölda áskoranna þá skal ég byrja að blogga aftur, það er bara ekkert merkilegt búið að vera í gangi! Nema þá kannski að ég er í fjarnámi frá FÁ, er að fara á Eurovison í Finlandi eftir 15 daga, er komin með kall og svo varð ég 25 ára þann 8 apríl síðast liðinn :o)

Það hefur svo sem ekki margt á daga mína drifið að undanförnu nema kannski þá að ég hélt upp á afmælið mitt 14 apríl og það var alveg æðislegt. Ég var með bollu og jelly skot sem gerðu mikla lukku hjá Elísabetu og Ella (kærastinn minn) því þau fóru í keppni hvor gæti tekið flest skot í einu!! Þau urðu heldur betur skrautleg :o) En kvöld var mjög skemmtilegt og allir náðu rosalega vel saman þó þau þekktust ekkert. Við enduðum svo kvöldið með því að fara í VIP herbergið á Pravda með 2 freyðivínsflöskur! Við fengum sem sagt að kveðja Pravda með stæl eins og sagt er ;c) Harma þann stað ekki mikið og er bara smá fegin að hann er "farinn".

Jæja þetta er nóg í bili því ég er í vinnunni og er að fara í mat, vona að ég hafi tíma til að updeita ykkur reglulega (veit að update er rétt orð en er að reyna að íslenska það pínu).

I know, I'm lazy

My life has been crazy fo the past 2 months and it´s not slowing down any time soon, but you all know that I like it this way :o) Offcourse I´m working like a maniac, I worked nearly 40 extra hours last month, that´s like the 5 week in the month for most people.

There is thought one thing that I proud of and that is that I have call you all up to catch up on everything. It was so nice to hear from you all and have a few laughts ;c) I also called Martina and this weekend I´m going to call Jan, he is back home and he´s going to try to come here next summer for a week!

There is not that much going on in my social life exept that I have been going out on weekends when I can.
Well that´s all I have time for because I´m at work but I will try to be better at this :o)

Since I came back

Okay I was telling you guys about my first weekend home. That Saturday I went to my aunts’ 40th birthday party (my dad’s sister), it was so nice to see my grandmother again as a lot of the family. I went to one of my friends’ house that night for a while and then we went to another friends house meet up with her boyfriend and more people that we know, including one of my ex. It was nice meeting all of them again and we where there for awhile. On Sunday me and my mom meet up with my grandma and aunt and went to brunch at my uncles’ house. His wife can read into coffee cups and tell you your future! You drink a little coffee from this cup and then you blow in to it in cross and turn it 3 times over your head and let it dry for a while, then she tells you what is in your nearest future :o) Mine looks pretty good and I’m getting some visitors next summer!! How it is going to be I don’t know but I’m very exited.

I didn’t do much the rest of the week except to look for a job and I got one on that Wednesday at the main post office here in Iceland in customs, well when people order something online or somebody is sending them something it goes thru me. That is you have to pay taxes of everything you buy and bring to Iceland and if this is a gift we let the people talk to customs because they control everything in this. I just assist people and give them there packed when they are ready and charge them. I really like my job and the people that work there. Oh ye I’m also working 2 evenings at week shorting out the mail and I will be some weekends soon.

Enough of this, the weekend after I didn’t do much except meeting one of my better friends and hang out with her, her 2 daughters and her mom. As my friend lives a little bit out of Reykjavík she came here and picked me up and we where at her moms house, we talked and watch a movie.
The weekend after that was my grandma birthday party and I meet the rest of my family (my mom side). And OMG everybody is grown up 3 of my cousin have kids! The are twins sister that both have kids now, they are a year younger than I am and another cousin of mine has a girlfriend that has a kid and they are living together, he’s 2 years younger than I, and on top of that all the little kids are now teenagers!! God I felt so old but I’m only 24 and it looks like me and my sister and 2 sisters that are my cousin are the only one that don’t have kids and we are about 12 that are on the same age. But the birthday party was great and I loved all the cakes that we had there and the bread, I love Icelandic birthday parties with all the Icelandic food :o) My diet is not going so well right now but I trying to get back on track ;c)

But to keep going to tell you all about me that night one of my best friend (Elísabet) had a custom party and I was Chinese lady in my new china top. The party was great, I wasn’t going to drink but me friend said that she had enough beers and we would go to a club later where she gets free drinks!! As you all know me I never turn down free drink and I got pretty smashed but it was fun till I was trying to find somebody to drive me home. To make it short I ended on my friends couch as she lives very close to down town Reykjavík, we had talk about me sleeping there but it’s always good to sleep in your on bed :o) But this was nice as she made the couch and after few hours of sleep she drove me home. And like the week before I didn’t do much during the week as I’m working a lot but last Friday we had a staff party as 3 of me coworkers had birthday on Saturday including my boss :o) It was so much fun, we where telling jokes and they where trying to marry me, that is trying to find someone in the company that would be asset man for me! Everybody in Iceland do this so I just started to joke that they should just tell me when my wedding should be so I could show up on time ;c) But this night was so much fun and I can’t wait to see them tomorrow to talk about it. After the party me, Erna, Ólöf, Konni og Dabbi (people my age) went down town to dance a little, that is the girls danced and the boys stood by watching. On my way home I got lost as I haven’t really been driving down town and I was running out of gas! Great, this is so me but some how I got out and I found a gas station and finally got home around 3am. Saturday was spent sleeping a lot as I was very tiered after the week and today I haven’t done much except I helped my mom a little to clean out the garaged and I went to the movies with Elísabet and her 4 year old brother, we went to see the ant bully.

I know my live is not exiting these days but I’m happy to be home and I miss all of you a lot!! Se pleases write me and I will try to write back and leave a comment when you stop by here so I know that you are all still a live and well. I got a job

Hey, sorry I haven´t writen for some time but I have been busy. All last week went it to looking for a job and then I started last Thursday. I´m working at the mainpostoffice in the customs, can be handy then I start to order online :o)
I´m working with lot of fun people, I realy like my boss as she´s nice and everybody are always saying that I´m realy good at this even thought I´m still learning.

Well this has to be short now because I have to get to work but i promis to tell you everything as soon as I can. Take care and I´m thinking of you all ;c)

My first weekend home

OMG if I have ever gone something crazy than that´s nothing comparing to last Friday night. One of my best friends here is a model and then ever there is some one famous in Iceland she is the one how finds girls to be around them. Well last week an actor named Matt Dillon was here and she had the VIP to be where he was going to be at one of the better clubs here in Reykjavik. She called me on Friday and invites me to go that evening and she is going to pay. Well I’m picked up around 9:30 pm by my friend and her friend that is driving, thought that I was going to die because he was very dangerous by passing busses and cars when cars where coming from the other direction!! But I survived and we drank a little at my friends’ house before going down town. When we got there Matt Dillon wasn’t there but we got in the VIP room and there was alcohol every where, we had few drinks and then we where told to go out and wait for him there as the wanted him to arrive in an empty room. As soon as he had sit down we came in, all the girls where so exited to meet him and where doing anything to get his attention. My friend introduce us and then I just sat down close to my friend and I was the only girl how didn’t try to talk to him or get him to notices me. They where like bees, trying to touch him and talk to him, some of them even went that far to make out with other girls just to get him to look that way. I felt a little shame for being a female there and apparently was the only one that was intelligent enough to know that if somebody wants to talk to you they will with out you showing off!! I asked my fiend if she could ask him if I could take a photo and he said no so I didn’t take one but sat there instead drinking and was the only one there that wanted to dance :o) When he was about to leave I was standing right there and asked him again if I could take a photo, he said that he had no before to someone so it wasn’t far if I could take one. I just told him that it was me that wanted that photo before so he agreed but asked me to be quick. No problem there so now I have a photo of us together :o)

After he left a lot of people followed him so the room was getting a little empty but there was still alcohol there so I didn’t leave. Told my friend I was going to be there so I sat next to some people and drank more and started to talk to some guy about Iceland. He was from London and is a writer and he writes about Iceland a lot. I told him about the article that I read in New York Times ones and he is asking me about it as we are speaking and tells me that he wrote it. This was so strange but cool so we talk and talk as he said that he saw that I was the only girl how didn’t try to get close to Matt Dillon and that he thought I was very intelligent!! Ok easy there, he was so trying to hit on me that it was getting a little to much. And I was drunk so I try to find my friend but she disappeared, so this guy what’s me to go to his hotel and is talking about some party but I said NO. I said I was tiered, drunk and dangerous ;c) He was nice enough to pay for the cab home as I didn’t have any money and I didn’t find my friend.

But any how I have to go again so I will finish Saturday and Sunday soon. Take care and I miss all of you!

I´m home ;c)

So I got here safe and sound after traveling for 26 hours. It was not as tireing as I thought, I sleeped most of the way from San Fran to London. The most tireing thing was all the securite things they had. First I went trought the regular securite in San Fran and then when I was going on the plane there was another check point and they go trought your purse and bags. In the first search they took my sanitazer and hand lotion and in the second one they took my lipbalm. After I got of the plane in London we went trought another securite check and it took hour and half to get trought that and we did landed 30 min after schedule time so now I just had 6 hours to my next flight. Because I needed to check into my next flight I found the tapble and needed to wait because she was alone and was helping some one else. So I waited and nearly fell a sleep in the chair. When she could finaly help me I was SO tired that I asked if there where any good palces to sleep at the airport and she told me about some sofas. So I found the sofas but then I was very hungry as it was nearly 8 am in California. As you have probably notice I did not go to London as it would have taken me nearly an hour to get there and then another hour back and the securite was so much that it would also have taken me 2 hours to get trough. So I will just have to go ther another time :o)

So to treat myself a littel I found this seafood restaurant at the airport and had a very good someked salmon and a wine glass. Then I went back to the sofas and fell a sleep for about 3 hours. Had a sandwish and waited close to the gate to get on the plane and home, at this point I just couldn´t wait. Then I got the "good news" the flight was delayed for 30 min and then another 30 min!!! This was a pure torture..... But I finaly got on the plane and home, I nearly ran out of the plane and trought costumes to see my sister, that god my bags where with the first ones to go trough.

Well I'm geting very tired of writing this so I will just have to finish this later to tell you that I have been up to since I came back. Take care and please leave a comment so I can see how is reading about me :o)

Er á leiðinni heim!!

Jæja það er alveg rosalega mikið búið að vera í gangi síðustu daga og vikur að hausinn á mér er að springa þegar ég hugsa um allt!
En allavegna þá er ég að fara í dag (miðvikudag) og ég verð á ferðalagi í 22 tíma. Ég flýg frá San Francisco til London um 7 leitið í kvöld og lendi í London klukkan 1 eftir hádegi og verð þar í 8 tíma þar til ég flýg loksins til Íslands og lendi á klakkanum rétt eftir klukkan 11 á fimmtudags kvöldið.

Allavegna þá kvaddi ég alla í gærkvöldi, við fórum á Olive Garden sem er ítlaskur staður sem er í uppáhaldi hjá mér. Þetta er allt svo skrítið en samt hlakkar mig til að koma heim en það er sárt að skilja við alla hérna því ég hef eignast mjög góða vini!!

Ég er laus alla helgina ef fólk vill hitta mig og gera einhvað skemmtilegt :o)
Já og svo ætla ég að byrja á því að skrifa á ensku svo að allir hérna úti geti fylds með mér.
